Conflict Minerals Policy

Honest Components is committed to the responsible sourcing of minerals used in our products. We work to ensure our materials do not contribute to conflict or human rights abuses in high-risk regions. By following the OECD Due Diligence Guidance and the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), we source tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and cobalt responsibly and ethically across our global supply chain.

Purpose

HCI promotes responsible sourcing and avoids materials linked to armed conflict or human rights abuses in Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs), including the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).We follow the OECD Due Diligence Guidance and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights to ensure ethical sourcing throughout our supply chain.

Supplier Requirements

Suppliers must:

  • Provide HCI with mineral origin details, including 3TGs and cobalt.
  • Source from validated smelters and refiners under the RMAP program.
  • Suspend engagement with suppliers who fail remediation standards.
  • Support responsible mineral sourcing through collaboration and training.

Responsible Sourcing Policy

HCI aligns with the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and is committed to sourcing 3TG and cobalt responsibly, ensuring our practices do not support conflict or human rights violations.
Our global suppliers are required to:

  • Supply only conflict-free materials that do not fund armed groups.
  • Be transparent and responsibly source from the DRC and adjoining countries.
  • Maintain due diligence programs consistent with OECD standards.
  • Cooperate with HCI in compliance evaluations.
